Vollyze Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the Vollyze volleyball match-recording, analysis, and team-support application (the "App" or "Service"). "Vollyze," "we," "us," and "our" mean the provider of the App. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Service and Plans

The Service includes match recording, statistics, reports, practice suggestions and records, Team management, live sharing, synchronization, and optional requested AI summaries.

Free provides accountless, on-device features subject to the limits shown in the App.
Pro provides paid individual-coach features.
Staff provides paid sharing for a small adult staff group.
Team provides paid sharing, roles, and administration for a larger adult staff group.

"Team" also means the account-based shared workspace. A "Team Owner" is the adult user authorized to create, manage, and end it.

2. Age, Accounts, and Eligibility

A minor may use only Free accountless local features, subject to the minor's parent or guardian and team, school, or organization rules. A minor may not create a Vollyze account, purchase a paid subscription, sign in to Team, synchronize records, or use Team sharing.

Accounts, paid subscriptions, Staff, and Team are available only to coaches or staff age 18 or older. Before purchase, an adult confirmation and acceptance of these Terms are required. Before creating or joining a Team, the user must also confirm authority and any consent required to register and share player information.

Player and Parent/Guardian accounts and viewing modes are not currently available. You must provide accurate account information and secure your sign-in method and invitation links.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Pro, Staff, and Team are monthly or annual auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store.

The price, billing period, trial, and renewal terms shown by Apple at purchase control.
A subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple's terms.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings or App Store subscription settings.
Restoration and entitlement updates may be delayed by network conditions, Apple processing, or synchronization.
Refund requests are handled under Apple's refund policy.
Deleting a Vollyze account or ending a Team does not cancel an App Store subscription.

4. Your Content and Authority

You retain rights you hold in records and content entered into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant Vollyze the limited right to host, store, synchronize, display, analyze, and process Your Content only as necessary to provide, support, secure, and comply with law for the Service you request.

If Your Content includes another person's information, including a minor player's name, jersey number, position, grade, performance record, note, image, or video, you represent and warrant that:

you and, where applicable, your school, club, team, or organization have lawful authority to collect, use, register, and share it;
all required notices and consents have been provided or obtained;
the information is limited to what is necessary for legitimate team activity; and
access is granted only to authorized adult staff.

You must remove content when you no longer have authority or a legitimate need to process it.

5. Team Responsibilities and DPA

The Team Owner and Team administrators are responsible for invitations, roles, access, shared-data management, lawful instructions, and Team termination. Team members may use shared data only for legitimate team activity and within their assigned permission.

For a Staff or Team customer using the Service on behalf of a school, club, company, association, or other organization, the customer is the controller or business responsible for Team content and Vollyze acts as processor or service provider as applicable. The Team Data Processing Addendum at /en/dpa is incorporated into these Terms.

Do not share invitation links with unauthorized people. Vollyze currently permits only adult Head Coach, Coach, and Manager roles for Team sign-in.

6. AI and Coaching Information

Statistics, AI summaries, reports, practice suggestions, and safety notices are informational support tools. They do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, performance improvement, match results, injury prevention, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Adult coaches and qualified professionals remain responsible for tactics, selection, workload, safety, and medical decisions. Do not enter personal information that is unnecessary or unauthorized. The Service is not medical diagnosis or treatment.

7. Deletion

An authenticated user may start account deletion in Settings. A Team Owner may end the Team and delete its shared content before account deletion; another Team member may leave and delete the member's account. Deleted data may not be recoverable.

Team termination removes shared roster, match, practice, report, invitation, AI-cache, Team-name, and Team-logo data from the primary service. Restricted disaster-recovery backups and de-identified security records expire under the Privacy Policy's retention schedule.

Deletion does not cancel App Store billing.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not:

bypass security, authentication, billing, age, usage, rate, or access controls;
access another person's account, Team, or data without authority;
enter, upload, or share unlawful, inaccurate, infringing, excessive, or unauthorized information;
process player, video, image, health, or personal information without required authority and consent;
use a Team account as a player or Parent/Guardian account;
overload, disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service except where law expressly permits; or
use the Service to harass, discriminate, defame, threaten, or violate law or another person's rights.

9. Changes, Suspension, and Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or pricing when reasonably necessary. We may limit access for a violation, security risk, legal requirement, maintenance, outage, force majeure, or third-party provider failure. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or error-free, complete, or accurate analysis, AI output, synchronization, or shared data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vollyze is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost data, profit, goodwill, or opportunity. Where Vollyze is liable, total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where law prohibits them.

11. Intellectual Property

The App, software, design, text, logo, database structure, and practice-menu structure are owned by Vollyze or its licensors. These Terms grant only a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for lawful personal coaching or Team activity.

12. Apple Terms

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to matters not addressed here:

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be notified in the App, on the distribution page, or by another appropriate method. A new effective date will be shown.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. To the extent permitted by applicable mandatory law, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive first-instance jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights in the user's location remain unaffected.
