Vollyze Terms of Service

Last updated: July 14, 2026  |  Effective: July 14, 2026

These Terms are written in U.S. English. View the Japanese version.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vollyze, a volleyball match-recording, analysis, and team-support application (the “App” or “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

The Service includes match recording, statistics, reports, AI-assisted analysis, coaching insights, practice suggestions and records, Team management, live sharing, and data synchronization. Some features require an account or a paid subscription. A “Team” is the account-based workspace for invitations, roles, permissions, shared records, and synchronization. A “Team Owner” is the user authorized to create, manage, and end a Team.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials and Team invitations secure. Team features may require email authentication, Sign in with Apple, or another available sign-in method.

Vollyze is available only to coaches and team staff age 18 or older. Before creating or joining a Team, you must confirm that you are an adult coach or staff member and acknowledge these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Player and Parent/Guardian accounts, including player and guardian viewing modes, are not currently available.

Adult coaches and staff may maintain an adult-managed roster that includes minor players. If you enter or share a minor’s information, you represent that you have all permissions and consents required to do so. You may not use the Service if doing so would violate applicable law or your team’s, school’s, league’s, or organization’s rules.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Free features are available without charge. Pro, Staff, and Team plans are auto-renewable monthly or annual subscriptions purchased through Apple’s App Store. The price, billing period, trial (if any), and renewal terms shown by Apple at purchase control. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings or your App Store subscription settings. Purchase restoration, entitlement updates, and Team permissions can be temporarily delayed by network conditions, Apple processing, or synchronization. Refund requests are handled under Apple’s applicable refund policies.

Deleting your Vollyze account or ending a Team does not cancel an App Store subscription.

4. Your Content and Permissions

You retain any rights you have in information you enter into the Service, including match records, practice records, player and Team information, notes, images, and other content (“Your Content”). You grant us the limited right to host, store, synchronize, display, analyze, and process Your Content as necessary to operate, support, secure, and improve the Service; provide AI summaries, coaching insights, and practice suggestions; investigate problems; and comply with law.

You represent that you have authority to enter, upload, or share Your Content, including information about players, teams, videos, images, and other people. We may use de-identified or aggregated information for service improvement, quality assurance, and statistical analysis.

5. AI, Analysis, and Practice Suggestions

Statistics, AI summaries, coaching insights, practice suggestions, reports, and safety notices are informational tools that support coaching decisions. They are not guarantees of accuracy, completeness, a particular result, performance improvement, injury prevention, or fitness for a particular purpose.

You, adult coaches and staff, and qualified professionals remain responsible for training plans, tactics, player selection, workload, safety decisions, and medical decisions. The Service does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. Seek appropriate professional advice for injury, pain, illness, or other health concerns.

6. Team Features

Team Owners are responsible for Team creation, invitations, role assignments, access management, shared-data management, and ending a Team. Team members may use shared match records, practice records, player information, and reports only for legitimate team activity and within their assigned permissions. Do not share invitation links with unauthorized people. When a Team Owner ends a Team, members may lose access to Team-related shared data. Ending a Team does not cancel App Store billing.

7. Account Deletion

You may start account deletion in the App’s Settings. A Team Owner may confirm the end of their Team and deletion of its shared data before deleting the owner’s account. A Team member may leave a Team and delete their own account. Account deletion deletes the account and associated personal server data that we are not legally required to keep, and clears local App state on that device. Deleted accounts and Team data may not be recoverable.

If you use Sign in with Apple, we attempt to revoke the Apple connection before deletion; Vollyze account deletion can still proceed if that step cannot be completed. Account deletion does not cancel App Store billing; cancel through Apple separately.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not reverse engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute the Service except where law permits; bypass security, authentication, payment, usage, or rate limits; access another person’s account, Team, or data without authorization; enter or share inaccurate, infringing, unlawful, or unauthorized information; use player, Team, video, image, or personal information without required permission; overload or misuse our servers, APIs, or providers; or use the Service to harass, discriminate against, defame, threaten, or violate the rights of others.

9. Changes, Suspension, and Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue part of the Service when reasonably necessary. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, security work, outages, legal requirements, force majeure, or a failure or change in a third-party service such as Supabase, Apple, or an AI provider. We may limit or suspend access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created a security risk, or interfered with safe Service operation.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that the Service, analysis, AI output, suggestions, synchronization, or shared data will be error-free, complete, accurate, or suitable for your particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vollyze will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Where we are liable, our total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where law does not permit them.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, designs, text, logo, database, and practice-menu structure, is owned by Vollyze or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal or legitimate Team activities in accordance with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of the Service to you.

12. Apple Terms

The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to matters not addressed by these Terms: Apple Standard EULA.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App, on the App’s distribution page, or by another appropriate method. The updated Terms will state its effective date.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the Tokyo District Court will be the exclusive court of first instance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
